Support in Project Work
Specialists at the University of Latvia Innovation and Acceleration Center possess a high level of expertise and knowledge of the European funding ecosystem, various project grant programmes, and project management throughout the entire project lifecycle.
IAC specialists provide free, tailored advisory, methodological, and practical support to UL academic and general staff in the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of international project applications. We adapt our services to the needs of our clients and, by mutual agreement, offer support and consultations on the following project-related matters at UL:
1. Identification of European and national funding opportunities for projects, as well as relevant open calls
2. Analysis of project ideas, identification of suitable calls, and preparation and submission of project applications:
analysis of call guidelines and other relevant documents, and assessment of the project idea’s eligibility
preparation of the project application, including drafting application sections
project funding planning and budget preparation
preparation of additional required documents (mandates, declarations, etc.)
3. Identification of project partners, formation of consortia, and coordination during the proposal development process
4. Analysis of evaluation reports for rejected proposals, revision, and improvement of applications
5. Support in project administrative and financial management, including risk management
University of Latvia Innovation and Acceleration Center also organizes training and provides consultations on project proposal preparation and project management. Upon request, it is possible to arrange individual training on specific topics related to project work at UL, as well as practical workshops on project idea development, staff planning, budget preparation, and writing sections of project applications for various grant programmes.
University of Latvia Innovation and Acceleration Center is also engaged in compiling and developing methodological materials useful for project work.
University of Latvia Innovation and Acceleration Center ensures the registration of Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships (KA220) projects and coordinates the signing of partner mandates. IAC registers project ideas in order to collect applicants’ proposals and ensure that UL does not exceed the KA2 project limit—10 projects per submission deadline in fields outside sports and higher education (both as a partner and as an applicant). IAC also provides support in the preparation of Erasmus+ project applications (both in groups and individually).
