“StartSmart” Programme

At the end of the summer, the LU Innovation and Acceleration Center organises the “StartSmart” programme for prospective students of Latvian higher education institutions and secondary school pupils. The aim of the programme is to provide participants with the opportunity to develop solutions for their ideas and inspire them to continue developing these ideas further within our pre-incubation programme.

“StartSmart” is a short yet intensive programme during which participants:

• Develop a solution for their idea – defining the problem, creating an appropriate solution, interviewing potential users, and preparing a memorable presentation.

• Meet new people – connect with students from various programmes and secondary school pupils, find like-minded individuals, and become part of the LU Business Incubator community.

• Gain practical knowledge in business idea development – receive hands-on advice from successful entrepreneurs and industry professionals, providing a strong foundation for developing well-thought-out and innovative solutions.

Programme content

• An intensive 3-day practical programme

• Lectures and workshops on entrepreneurship, innovation, and teamwork

• Mentor support and inspiring insights from experienced entrepreneurs

• Final presentations to a panel
